  20. Q. Does this software require VBRUN100.DLL?
  21. A. Yes! If you don't have it, the BBS or shareware house you got
  22.    PA 5.0 from should have it!

  24. Q. So... What's New with 5.0?
  25. A. Everything! Sharper interface, toolbox, flexible inventory pages,
  26.    easier batch printing, a new character set sheet, improved layouts
  27.    for the other specimen sheets, TrueType support, user definable text
  28.    strings, footers, headers, two new view windows, & more!

  30. Q. Why did 5.0 take so long?
  31. A. February, March, April, and May were quite hectic with graduation from
  32.    school, and trying to find a job.... Thanks to all who held on for 
  33.    this release!

  35. Q. How do I install this program real quick?
  36. A. 1) Create a new directory for Printer's Apprentice
  37.    2) Place the contents of this ZIP file into the directory
  38.    3) Add the directory to your PATH statement in the AUTOEXEC.BAT 
  39.       *This is a MUST!*
  40.    4) Reboot your machine, start Windows, add PA to a Program Manager
  41.       Group, double click and go!

  43. Q. How do I remove the program if I need more space on my machine?
  44. A. 1) Remove the contents of your PA directory
  45.    2) Remove the PA directory
  46.    3) Remove the PA.INI file from your Windows directory
  47.    4) Remove the Printer's Apprentice icon from your Program Manager
  48.       groups.

  50. Q. What happened to the documentation file?
  51. A. Everything has been placed in a Windows help file. Just click
  52.    the Help menu item or the question mark icons...

  54. Q. Is this program still shareware?
  55. A. Yes! Yes! Yes! This software has been in development for a long
  56.    time... Please take the time to compensate the author. Send a check
  57.    for $20 ($25 foreign) payable to Bryan T. Kinkel at the above
  58.    address.

  60. Q. What's coming in Version 6.0?
  61. A. Even more control over the inventory sheets, more general purpose
  62.    specimen sheets, more interface improvments, speed, speed, speed!

  64. Q. What is the upgrade policy?
  65. A. When you register, I will send you a code and a certificate. Upon release
  66.    of major upgrades, I will notify you with a post card. The cost of
  67.    duplication and mailing has gotten out of hand, so upgrades will cost
  68.    a nominal $5 if you need a new diskette. Or you can wait to find the
  69.    program on a local BBS. The codeword will always work for future 
  70.    editions.

  72. Q. Anything else?
  73. A. Yes! I am always open to suggestions! This software is made for
  74.    anyone who cares about type. Designers, DTPers, layout artists,
  75.    print shops, publishers, etc, this sofware is for you. If you have
  76.    any suggestions, spec sheet ideas, interface notes, let me know.
  77.    75% of the improvements in this release came from users. This
  78.    is your program! It is easiest to reach me at home, after 7pm EST.

  92. Note: PA makes several calls to the above VBX's, DLL's, and the
  93. PACONTRL.EXE (the Printer's Apprentice control panel). In order
  94. for PA to run, these files must be on your path. Rather than
  95. littering your \windows & \windows\system dir with stray DLL/VBX
  96. files, create a new dir for PA and place all the files in one dir.
  97. Then add \PA to your PATH statement. As Jim Seymour at PC Magazine
  98. notes, uninstalling Windows programs is a pain. Printer's
  99. Apprentice is INI friendly, it does not touch your SYSTEM.INI
  100. or WIN.INI. It only creates its own PA.INI in the Windows dir.

  102. Q. What other software has Lose Your Mind Software produced?
  103. A. Look for .WAVHello 1.0, a quick and dirty .WAV and .MID player.
  104.    Use it alone or in concert with the Windows 3.1 File Manager, just
  105.    drag and drop! WAVHELLO.ZIP  ---> Look for it on your favorite
  106.    BBS!
